    thanks for all the feedback.

it is an abstract question. I set up a span port on my switch to monitor traffic. the config on my switch will send all traffic since the AP is connected to a switch.

this is all really just for fun anyway.

it got me wondering if there was a way to send the same thing over the air to my laptop. I realize that in an…[Read more]

  • I love reaver.
    absolutly love it.

WPS enabled routers will be around for a while. a bad person could really make use of it.

  • I agree about the IP thing.
the router may not issue a new IP address which is why you cant connect. most of the time 192.168.1.0/24 is the network range. try social engineering his ip address from him then use that.

or guess and check. start with .1, .2 etc..

in wcid you can add your own IP address. this has worked for me in the past.

  • for a cisco switch you can configure one of the ports to be a switch port analyzer.
    (SPAN)
this is used for IDS alliances to monitor traffic.
all you need to do is plug your laptop into the SPAN port and turn on wire shark.

most switches use the same command. here I did it on a 6509 switch:

    Router(config)#monitor session 1 source interface g1/1…[Read more]

    extremely over engineered.  😉

    8x cisco routers, 1841s, 2600XMs, 3640,
    5x cisco L2/L3 switches 3560, 3550, 2950T, 2970G, 2960
    1x ASA5510
    1 access server
    1 AP

not to mention 2 HP servers.
just to run a simple broadband connection.

lets just say my power bill is unnecessarily high

I do this because my home network is also my lab. as a network…[Read more]

  • there are a lot of great attacks that target layer 2. this can be challenging to setup as a lab as you would need several switches and need to know how to configure them. I have found a lot of networks don’t protect against these attacks and this creates a huge vulnerability as it is very easy from the inside to attach a switch to the network and…[Read more]

I dont condone this but I would say there is a much easier way to gain a facebook password.
create an html page that looks like the facebook login or a page that says login with your facebook account. then send a message to your brother saying, Wow you gotta check out this game! or Wow this site looks really cool!

you can easily create a page…[Read more]
