Breezed through the Primer and First chapter. The Primer provides a basic introduction, but not sure about the message its trying to provide with the following:

While the OSCP training is awesome, I would certainly plan the training so that you can make the most out of the lab access. I did register for the training, but lost most of my lab hours due to work and family related activities.

Would like to provide an update to all. I got stuck in the buffer overflow module and didnt progress further. I am gonna work on creating some exploits locally and then continue my lab access. As the wise men said, “Try Harder”.

While there is no harm in writing a tool to help developers check for weaknesses in their code, the use might be limited.
I would say, if you think that it will benefit at least a few people out there, why not go for it.Also, an exploit would be cool too.

While I am not very familiar with GSEC, I can safely say that CISSP is the more well-known cert for security. You do need need to have at least 5 years of experience in 2 of the 10 domains of CISSP, do earn the degree.
However, you can earn the Associate degree by just passing the exam. -
