Thanks Sil !! Wow that is good explanation and a good start from me to learn more about risk assessment.
One more question I have done security assessment basically all I do is Vulnerability Scanning is that what general industry practise ?? or should i be doing more steps..anything i refer and Learn.

I would say from my experience. I have taken courses for EC council and other security certs but nothing came close to sans quality inspite being expensive i always was happy with quality and the style of teaching (though they will never come down on prices )

Thanks for the info dymanik. I’m definitely don’t want overlap as i would be planning for OSCP or similar kind of course in future as well i have ECSA/LPT.
I would believe GCIH is about how to counter the incidents using various tools & tricks along with methodologies ??

Well I use Envision and Arc Sight. I would say Arc Sight is far better product than any other SIEM in the Market ( you should check with arc sight for various tools/appliance they offer But it has to depend lot on your company budget and needs.

well i took bootcamp, it pretty much covers everything.You need to study all the modules from ECSA exam check this link from ec council for more info.

I have taken ECSA exam.It is a real easy exam. No you don’t require to have CEH inorder to take ECSA and good luck with the exam it should be easy exam for your compared to GCIH.
PS: In order for you to have LPT License you need to have CEH, ECSA as well you should have attented LPT training and some cash.

Nice Giveway ! I like their Checkpoint series it’s pretty good and i would recommend anyone who is looking for training on checkpoint firewall’s. The trainers is really good and it is way to cheaper to attend a bootcamp.
