Can't send PMs

Is anyone else having this issue?

I've got 2 PMs that have been sat in my outbox for a day or so - and I can't PM Don to let him know as it just sits there as well

Re: Can't send PMs

I got your PM and replied.

If anyone else is finding the same problems, please let me know.

Thanks,
Don

It might mean your message hasn't been read by the recipient? IIRC, PM's stay in your Outbox until the recipient has read the PM. When your PM has is read by the recipient, it's then moved to your Sent folder.

Don's looking into it - but based on a bit of trial and error, I suspect you're right m0wgli.

Re: Can't send PMs

Out of curiosity, I had a look at a phpBB userguide:

phpbb.com wrote:Sent messages will appear in either the Outbox or the Sent messages folder. As long as the recipient(s) have not yet read the message, it will stay in the Outbox. As soon as someone reads the message it will be archived to the Sent messages folder. If the administrator allows it, you can edit messages after sending them as long as they are in the Outbox and the recipients have not yet read them.

Source: https://www.phpbb.com/support/documenta ... ser_pm.php

I don't know the exact version the forum is running though, so it might not be applicable. However, from other searches it would suggest this is the expected behaviour for phpBB forums.
