BSidesAustin 2011
March 11 - 12, 2011
Austin, TX

Cost: Free (as always!)

Each BSides is a community-driven framework for building events for and by information security community members.  The goal is to expand the spectrum of conversation beyond the traditional confines of space and time.  It creates opportunities for individuals to both present and participate in an intimate atmosphere that encourages collaboration. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from participants. It is where conversations for the next-big-thing are happening.

What: A form of irregular training that gives you concentrated hands-on training in a highly mobile format.

Why: Attack methods are constantly evolving, and so must your defensive measures. Application security is your first, last, and best line of defense.

- Bring a laptop so that you can hop right in!
- Sessions up to 2 hours in length, providing high quality content that can be immediately applied.
- Something for everyone: from intro to the OWASP Top 10 and LiveCD to hands-on remediation of code weaknesses

This is still evolving, stay tuned for more details.
