Wireless USB adapter with Monitor/ Promiscuous

I've got a laptop with a Broadcom 43225 wireless card that doesn't support monitor/promisc mode (as far as I know).

Does anyone know any good wireless usb adapters that can support these modes? I'd really like to play with wireshark.

I forgot to mention that I'm running Windows 7.

Haven't tried it with win7 yet, but my Linksys WUSB54GC does an excellent job with promiscuous mode and injection...

I highly suggest the ALFA AWUS03H. I have 2 of them. Don't get anything larger than 1000mw. I used the 2 for the OffSec WiFu course (they recommend them too).

I know that Billv has one and said good things of it too.

Thanks for the advice. I'm kind of new to this wireless thing. Would you mind explaining what mw means and why I don't want an antenna with more than 1000mw?

It's not the antenna that's 1000mw (MilliWatts), it's the device itself. 1000mw = 1w.

If I remember right, its the amount of power pushed out from the device out.

If I also remember right again, the 2000mW version uses a different chipset.
