Goodbye (mostly), SecurityFocus

Posting from UnsafeBits blog:

Symantec made the announcement today that SecurityFocus will be essentially be phased out, with only Bugtraq and the vulnerability database accessible through the current site. Much of the content will move over to Symantec Connect, a site that acts as a portal between the company and the security community.

Oh well, Symantec strikes again.  I am still quite upset with their Veritas takeover.  They have a knack for buy good products and turning them around :)

i read it on a dutch site, a shame that initiatives like this get swallowed up by companies. i guess there will be another one just around the corner?
