I want to begin study for the CEH & hopefully take the exam within a months time..
I'm interested in the latest v6 CEH.
I was going to buy the "Certified Ethical Hacker" Exam Prep book (Exam Prep) today as I've read it is pretty good & seems to cover alot of ground.
But I am wondering if its valid for the newer v6 test?
If so, is this enough to study for the CEH test or are there other guides/test materials out there I should look at?
I don't think I want to spend $600-$1200 on a course for CEH, as from what I have read it seems I have alot of the necessary knowledge & experience already - I just don't know what else i need to know for the CEH and want to fill in gaps.
Some background on me, I am an experienced security/analyst & former network/systems administrator. I've worked for a major security company for past few yrs doing Intrusion Detection stuff, so I definitely have the experience required.
I'm familiar with security tools & networking concepts including many hacker tools, attacks & techniques.
By no means an expert & would like make sure I get the right material to pass the v6 exam.
