25C3 25th Chaos Communication Congress

There's a very interesting conference taking place that is kindly streamed live over the web

http://events.ccc.de/congress/2008/wiki/Streaming

You can take a look at whats on here http://events.ccc.de/congress/2008/Fahrplan/

Looking forward to a talk about Wii hacking in 5 minutes!

You can also download recordings of all the streams afterwards from the site so if you missed anything that looks interesting go find it!

Hey Alan,

Can't believe I forgot that one. Thanks for the reminder. Excellent stuff.

Welcome to EH-Net,
Don

PS to ALL - If there are any other conferences around the globe, please PM me to include it on our calendar. That way all can know about it and hopefully participate.

Not that I know of. We provide the ChicagoCon files for download for free but not the video stream live or after the fact. That is an impressive offering.

Re: 25C3 25th Chaos Communication Congress

i missed this before! this is quite scary stuff

One presentation in 25c3 showed how they created a rogue certificate authority that looks like a trusted CA (with the help of 200 Playstation 3's to do the work) by exploiting collisions in MD5. Read more about it here

http://www.crunchgear.com/2008/12/30/md ... authority/

You can find the video of the presentation on the site linked above, if they have any bandwidth available!
