Electronic Crime Scene Investigation

I found a link to this on Bruce Schneier's blog.

As Bruce says, this is fairly basic (though some parts are EXTREMELY basic) stuff.  But this seems like a pretty good place for someone with an interest in digital forensics to start.

Yeah, his blog is actually a decent resource.  I don't agree with all his views, but I always enjoy reading his remarks.  Thanks for the link to that, I'll have to read up on it.  I'm swamped with work, now that I'm back full time and out of the spine brace... man, it's funny how much you can miss in a couple months of being gimp.

Re: Electronic Crime Scene Investigation

What I'm amazed at is everyone is so quick to point out the non accessibility to access a mac if its not on the same subnet, yet no one has pointed out the ease in which a MAC address can be spoofed.

Bottom line on your laptop. Forget about it, you'll never see it again. I've had 5 stolen! If you have renters or home owners insurance you can claim it and get a new one!

Huh?  Umm... perhaps you ment this as a reply to the other thread dealing with a stolen laptop etc?  I'm assuming so.  :/
