Re: a little help

I think I'm a bit confused on what you're looking for.  Real world interfaces really only fall into GUI or CLI unless you are talking about some of the failed 3D desktops or some classified direct neural interface.  Are you looking for the names of different types of GUIs?  ie.  gnome, kde, enlightenment, M$, etc?

Re: a little help

Interfaces tend to fall into a few categories e.g. keyboard/VDU (CLI), pointing devices/VDU (GUI) and then a few esoteric ones like braille interfaces, voice recognition, audio feedback. Really it's all about input and output. The dial on your washing machine is a UI, the machine's output may simply be the symbols printed on the dial.
