*nix Wi-Fi cards

I'm looking to buy a new wi-fi card for my laptop. Does anyone have any suggestions as far as compatibility goes with various *nix distributions?

Re: *nix Wi-Fi cards

This is what I use with very good Kismet results.

PCMCIA Card - Netgat 2511 CD Plus Ext 2 http://www.netgate.com/info/2511CDPLUSEXT2/Spec.html

Blade Antenna w/ MMCX connector - http://www.hyperlinktech.com/web/2.4ghz_wifi_omni_blade_antenna.php
Go forth and do good things,

IMO the 2 best cards for linux are the Senao NL-2500 and the Ubiquiti SRC 300mW. They both have two connections for dual antennas and work well with Backtrack and Ubuntu. Great for aireplay when cracking wep. You can get them here:

That Ubiquiti card looks pretty sweet, 300mW is impressive. Kinda pricey though. So you haven't had any problems with it at all?

No problems so far. I have been experimenting with Ubuntu a lot lately and all my tools are working well with this card.  If you want to experiment with AP phishing at a wireless hotspot ( assuming you were asked to test it of course) you need a card with some power.
