$1.5 million dollar heist

An escrow firm in California was hacked and lost 1.5 million dollars. They were able to recover some of that, but $1.1 million is apparently gone forever and the state had to step in and shut them down. Security folks get a lot of criticism for saying the sky is falling, and some of that is deserved, but a devastating breach can actually end a small or medium-sized business.

This all falls under defense-in-depth.
A security personnel has to get things right all the time. but cyber criminals need only once chance..
