ParticipantHi everyone,
I have been a member of EH.net for almost 3 years now. I have “known” some people here for quite some time now. But I have only met an handful of you guys so far at conferences (alucian, ajohnson, Don, and another one I forgot the name…).
I know Don lives in Chicago and personally, I am from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
So I am curious, where are you from?
We should create a EH.net map from people around the world.
But maybe Don could do just that, based on our IP addresses… -

But maybe Don could do just that, based on our IP addresses…Why don’t you just write a script to harvest the “location” field from everyone’s profile? 😉

Participant@ajohnson: Look at chrisj’s answer on this thread and at his profile and you’ll understand why… 😉

In addition, a whois query on the website field. 😉

ParticipantThat would assume that the website field is populated.
Remember, the original purpose ajohnson referred to, for suggesting a script, was to create a map of user locations for members. Â If specific data doesn’t exist, it can’t used in order for the user to be mapped.
But technically, that would also include the same for the location field…

Seriously though, I like where m0wgli is going with this. Lets all try to determine the most creative way to dox each other. Where’s Jason at? 8)

ParticipantOh man, that could be nasty! ;D
Too bad I don’t have time for this now… I am still working on my Web Service scanner project. I made good progress lately, but I have invested way to much time in this so far. So I don’t feel like writing another script right now (although it’s tempting…) 😉

KeymasterOr how about a group social engineer? No one can win an EH-Net Giveaway Prize unless they… fill in the blank.
This time it could be ‘where are you from’ and next time it could be whatever I want.

@Don: A social engineering challenge could be a good idea. But it has to be “legal”. So where is the line? (I personally couldn’t care less)
@H1tM0nk3y Don’t worry about that charge for the 15 magazines to your credit card. It was a women’s Swedish volleyball door to door charity subscription. 🙂

For me in Canada, there’s currently 2 feet of snow outside. So we don’t walk bare foot too often! ;D

Funny thing is if you accumulate all the snow that’s fallen my entire life in Mississippi, it probably would just barely be 2 feet of snow.
On an unrelated but uncanny note, I’m in Toronto with a foot or so of snow on the ground at the moment.

ParticipantOnce, about 20 years ago, we received 4 feet of snow in one day. Even if we are used to winter, it took 3 days before our street got cleaned out!! We were riding a snow mobile on the highway…Â ;D
@ziggy_567: I am only 4 hours away from Toronto. Too bad it’s not closer.
