KeymasterAnother great prize just for doing what you’d probably be doing anyway. At least, you’ll do it here at EH-Net. 😉
Permanent link: [Article]-February 2009 Free Giveaway Sponsor – Offensive Security
Win Free Training from Offensive Security Worth $1750!![/align:1lwoygmm]
Don’t let the economic woes prevent you from getting the top notch training you need. Inexpensive and highly recommended offerings from Offensive Security, the people who brought you BackTrack, are up for grabs. We will have 2 lucky winners this month, so there’s plenty of opportunity for EH-Net members to make their mark in the forums. The top winner will receive the best Offensive Security 101 Package Deal (Offsec 101 Course, 60 days of lab access and a certification try for OSCP) as well as the BackTrack WiFu Package Deal (Course and cert try for OSWP). Remember to discuss this cert in the OSWP Board. A lucky second winner will receive the Offensive Security 101 v2 Package only. These courses generate a lot of interest in the forums, so start posting and they could be yours!! Good luck.
Keep an eye out for “Cracking the Perimiter” (previously known as “BackTrack to the Max”) in an online version coming to screens near you later in 2009!!
[align=center:1lwoygmm]Participation is the ONLY way to win. Start a thread that sparks lots of interest; share thoughts and experiences; help a newbie… quality is more important than quantity.
Only members are eligible!
Registration Is FREE![/align:1lwoygmm]All I ask in return is to help spread the word about EH-Net,

ParticipantI’d have to agree – perhaps it’s the fact that it’s not location specific due to it being an online course – anyone can get benefit.
perhaps next giveaway it could be an online course from the infosec institute or something? (http://www.infosecinstitute.com/)

ParticipantThe forums are pretty hot right now, I’ve noticed a few members join or have been members here actually starting to get more active. If it’s not a course at the infosec institute it’d be one hell of a give away to be the course below:
SEC709 : Developing Exploits for Penetration Testers and Security Researchers

KeymasterConsidering SANS was the sponsor in December, it might be a little ways off before we get another free seat. But you guys who know me realize that I have no problem asking. As I say, “Just ask. You’d be surpised how many people say yes.”
… and don’t start the barrage of PMs asking for this prize just because I mentioned asking. :-X

ParticipantThe contest has definitely changed me from a casual lurker, to a member, and frequent poster. Every day I discover a new sub board, ask new questions, make new answers, and discover an article I have never seen before.
I’m well impressed with the site.
Thank you!

Indeed. I’ve always looked at the challenges but never done one. I am working on one now. Good learning experience. Obviously winning the challenge is nice, but learning is always a win (not to sound cheesy).
I’ll be down seeing family in a few weeks so I may go back and look at a few of the old ones.

KeymasterYes it has been a banner month. Thanks to everyone who participated. Forgive me for the delay, but I’m at SANS 2009 and totally swamped. I’ll get to it very soon.
Thanks for being patient,
Don
