notacon is a conference like no other.
We explore the intersection of creativity, community and technology through presentations, discussions, competition and good old fashioned hacking.
Notacon is a fun weekend long event starting on the evening of Thursday April 10th, 2014 with a free preview and closes on the morning of Sunday, April 13th with wrap-up discussions and award. The event features three tracks of discussions and presentations, workshops and performances. In addition, we have spaces dedicated to hardware hacking, games, amateur radio, demo coding and our own streaming 24/7 radio stream, Notacon Radio.
Notacon is truly an event created by and intended for the community. Everyone at Notacon is encouraged to participate and become more than simply an attendee in whatever way they feel comfortable. We embrace those from diverse backgrounds, ages and skill levels. We want everyone to join us in exploring, learning and having fun.
There are a couple of ways people participate in Notacon, whether it’s simply registering and showing up, presenting, performing or volunteering. Those interested in presenting, performing, etc. are welcome to submit a proposal. Everyone else should register for the event. We encourage everyone, including locals, to book a room at the conference hotel in order to get the most out of their Notacon experience.
There are many ways to get involved at Notacon. If you feel you have something you can share with the community by presenting, then check out our Call for Proposals section. If you are interested in volunteering for the event or becoming a member of the staff, please check out our information for volunteers.
If you are interested in sponsoring the event either financially or through donations, please read about our sponsorship opportunities for all budgets. Likewise, visit the page if you are simply interested in advertising in our program.
