We have our first entry for completing the contest! Don't forget, you need to send in a writeup of your solution.
- 1 report will be deemed the best and will not only win a signed copy for the participant but will also be published in the announcement article.
- 2 reports will be randomly selected from all winners, and the authors get signed copies.
We also have 1 DerbyCon ticket remaining for finishing of the first part of the challenge.

I didn't think I'd be the first one. I will forward you my write-up of the challenge in the coming days.

A couple small hints, for those having trouble getting past the code:
Experience is the teacher of all things
Inconsistency is the only thing in which men are consistent
and for those stuck on the next part:
I got your magic number
I'm gonna push your buttons

Finally stumbled through part 1. Praying the rest doesn't tease me as much...

Depending on where you are in the contest, you may see a brief lapse in accessibility to some of the bits today as I switch hosting providers. Justhost seemed to have trouble understanding why I had issues with a 3x hike in the cost of their service

No worries, and thanks for replying, when I asked about it, today. As usual, you're punctual!

OK, contest bits are now back online. The rest of everything is still in a bit of a shambles, but I'll get that fixed up in the next day or so.

More clues:
You'll need two turtles to win this fray, one of them is hiding and one is locked away.
In order to win the imprisoned one, bind the galaxy together and get on with the fun.
The turtle that's hiding will make you vent your spleen. Its very true that its not easy being green.
Once you have them both, you might get a nip. They're a bit wild, get out your chair and whip.

I ran out of time. Sorry gents. Can't wait, though, to see how aweSEC did it all. Congrats, man! (assuming nobody else nails it, first)

Is it possible to extend the deadline, so others can continue to work on it and eventually solve it as well? From a technical point of view, my solution is rather disappointing.
