It's always hard to pick winners. Do you go with someone new, someone old, most posts in a month... So this time I picked someone who's been around a while, has a good number of posts and has yet to win. So was he the top contributor in any given month? No. But he has contributed, and for that, I see him as the tortoise in this race.

Well done.

We Have a Winner!!

In a continuing effort to provide top quality training in a format that helps those with strapped travel budgets, SANS has come up with a unique way of being at the event... without actually being at the event. Introducing SANS Event Simulcast. Simply log in to a virtual classroom to see, hear, and participate in the class as it is being presented LIVE at the event. The Event Simulcast option is available for many classes offered at our largest training events. And EH-Net member Agoonie just won his choice of the following courses at SANS 2012 starting March 25:

- SEC401: SANS Security Essentials Bootcamp Style $4395

- MGT414:
SANS® +S™ Training Program for the CISSP® Certification Exam $3995

- DEV522:
Defending Web Applications Security Essentials $4195

- SEC560:
Network Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking $4595

Thanks to each and every EH-Netter for continuing to make this the place to make a career for yourself. The prizes continue throughtout 2012, and the only way to win is to become a memebr and participate. Sounds like a great New Year's Resolution.

Thanks guys.  I could not believe it. I never win anything so this was definitely a blessing.   I want to thank Don and everyone at EthicalHacker.  This is always a fun and informative site.  I will give a full review afterwards.  I want to take SEC560 and the timing is great.  OSCE to SEC560!

Congrats!  Wink SEC560 is easy compared to OSCE  Grin

GPEN is the related certification (to SEC560), which I passed with ~87% in 2 hours (you have 4 hours to complete the exam). Fyi, OSCE was my first certification, and GPEN was the second. I don't work in infosec daily, but I've done a lot of research and some freelance jobs though  Smiley

It's a great course none the less, as you will gain knowledge about various things you don't learn elsewhere currently.

It's not about how often you win; it's what you win. Go big or go home. Congrats!

Yes. The sponsor was a little behind in getting some details. Working out the kinks. Seems like everyone needs extra time after the holidays. As always, it's a nice prize.

Stay tuned,

Congratulations, this is a great prize!

By the way, has anyone taken DEV522/GWEB?  How does it differ from GWAPT?
