Seems like there have been a lot of spam postings to the boards lately. Are these automated? If I recall, I had to verify my account prior to posting. If that is the case, why do people do this? The only think I can think of is for search engine recognition because EH links show up in search engines all the time. Just wondered if there was a method to this madness!

I dont think so and the only reason I say that is it is always idiots with 0 posts, so they're clearly not interested in the material here...

It comes and goes. I've seen it much worse than it is now. So I guess it's a frame of reference.

We do our best to keep an open forum but deal with SPAM as it comes. So just don't reply to any of it and just report it. In the grand scheme of things, we have less SPAM than other sites I see and more than others. One thing I can say is that it doesn't last long once it's here.

You'd be amazed what people will do to make money in a down global economy.
