Just came across this story on CBS News. Police documents left on copiers found on CBS purchased machines.  Just another reason to always securely wipe the hard drives from every device possible before turning in from lease/sale.  You never know what might show up on any device that was used from the past!

saw this article too...if you rent such a machine (most organizations do), i'd be curious how it works and if it got some sort of memory that stores data that should intentionally be deleted. This reminds me of the hackers that bought bulk HDD's from organizations off ebay to extract stored creditcard data...
