I just installed the DVD version of BT3 beta and found I had the same problem with my prism cards. Everything locks up. I went to the report it on the remote-exploit forum and noticed others where having the same problem. However, all my atheros based cards work fine. Also noticed some problems with missing links in KDE. I was debating whether I would spend sometime writing a new config.opts file to make sure there wasn't a IRQ conflict, but I thought better of it. Reason being is I was of the opinion that BackTrack was supposed to be the lazy mans security disto, so if I have spend hours on tweaking it, it kind of defeats the purpose. As Chris stated you would be better of making your own attack distro. For now I think I will just report problems and hope the final release works better. Knowing those guys I am confident it will.
