The SecurityTube Linux Assembly Expert (SLAE) is an online course and certification which focuses on teaching the basics of 32-bit assembly language for the Intel Architecture (IA-32) family of processors on the Linux platform and applying it to Infosec. Once we are through with the basics, we will look at writing shellcode, encoders, decoders, crypters and other advanced low level applications.

$99 for that is a no-brainer. I have no clue when I will be able to fit that into my schedule, but I signed up.

Hey,

Is it me or securitytube-training.com looks a bit too much like securitytube.net?

Anyways, I propose you start with this one. I already did it and I liked it (free):
http://www.securitytube.net/groups?operation=view&groupId=5

There is also a free one for Windows that you should do first: http://www.securitytube.net/groups?operation=view&groupId=6

And there are many more other "megaprimmers".
Worth it.

Maybe I'm missing the point of your question, but that's because securitytube-training.com is owned by Vivek Ramachandran who's the author of securitytube.net.

The Metasploit megaprimer is good: http://www.securitytube.net/groups?operation=view&groupId=8

As is the Wireless megaprimer: http://www.securitytube.net/groups?operation=view&groupId=9

I've gone through both the Linux and Windows megaprimer. They're pretty good. Someone should write a review about this course after they've taken it.

The course doesn't even go live until the end of February, so that's probably a ways out. I'll definitely post my thoughts once I go through it though.

Thx, I didn't know that. I wonder why he didn't use something like training.securitytube.net or something like that. Next time, I will do my homeworks before making stupid comments...  Tongue

Thanks for the precision.

Would appreciate that. Smiley At $99 it's a steal, although it looks like it's only for the first 50 people who sign up.
