Is anybody else having issues with redirects to Alternate-ad-url when you try to access sections of this site?

@Don: Have you considered taking on a few mods to assist with all the spam etc?

Send me PMs or report the posts with re-directs.

I do have some mods working in the background. What comes through is, believe it or not, a small portion of the spam attempts. Since we are using an older version of software and thus more stable, it does not have the most bells and whistles. Unfortunately, the lack of bells and whistles is starting to allow things like forum spam. Everything has it's benefits and disadvantages. More vulnerabilities are found more often with new software, but there comes a time when old software is just not worth it. Now may be the time.

So I am looking over updating everything on the site. It'll hurt and there may be some downtime, but it might just be what is needed for a long-term solution. Since I plan on being around for a while, it's the type of choice I have to start putting into action now as it will take months of research, planning and implementation.

Thanks for the post and keep reporting the bad stuff directly to me.
