An extra challenge you wanted... an extra challenge you shall have. Ed Skoudis is not just the host this time, he also wrote this extra challenge. If you enjoy this challenge, then you should strongly look at reading Ed's books or taking some of his courses. This is the type of technical and humorous content that have become a trademark of Ed's work. We're lucky to have him as part of the EH-Net family.

Just in case you haven't seen the challenge yet:

Quote
To help you get into the holiday spirit, this month's challenge is based on one of my all-time favorite Christmas movies, A Christmas Story. If you haven't seen the movie, or have forgotten it, you can get a brief overview of the movie in 30 seconds and reenacted by bunnies. I hope you enjoy the challenge! And, have a very Merry Christmas!

Please read Ed’s challenge, compose your answers, and e-mail them to skillz1206@ethicalhacker.net with the Subject: 'Skillz Submission' by December 22, 2006.  Ed will choose three winners in early January who will receive an autographed copy of his book, Counter Hack Reloaded. We’ll award the best technical answer, the most creative technically correct answer, and a third will be drawn from all answers submitted, correct or not. So, even if you can't answer all of the questions, send in what you have. You just might win the prize in the random draw category.

A Christmas (Hacking) Story

Have fun,
Don

PS - Don't forget we are closing the contest early this time! Get your submission in quickly.

Only 2 more days to submit your answers!

Also, don't forget to sign up for a chance at a free copy of Core Impact. Even if you've signed up up in the past, you need to sign up during each challenge to be considered again.

Good luck,
Don

Did anybody notice this was written up in the latest edition of Information Security Magazine?  Page 18 at the bottom.  No link to EHN but it was interesting that the comment to the right has to do with the security of virtual machines as Ed and friends are working on this issue.  Unfortunately there is nothing about their research in these articles.  We'll have to look for it when they are finished.

Great job to all involved here.  You are making a difference and it is getting noticed.
