A couple small hints, for those having trouble getting past the code:

Depending on where you are in the contest, you may see a brief lapse in accessibility to some of the bits today as I switch hosting providers. Justhost seemed to have trouble understanding why I had issues with a 3x hike in the cost of their service 

OK, contest bits are now back online. The rest of everything is still in a bit of a shambles, but I'll get that fixed up in the next day or so.

Is it possible to extend the deadline, so others can continue to work on it and eventually solve it as well? From a technical point of view, my solution is rather disappointing.
