Hi all,

I would like to know what are the pre-requisites for taking the CISSP cert.

I have a Master's degree in Computer science and 18months of professional exp. in a technical support role
in one of the reputed security software company.

They have an associate CISSP now that they are having colleges use, otherwise its 4 years experience in any of the 10 domains. You also need another CISSP to "sponsor" you. If your company doesn't have one, then I think an IT manager can do it for you.

Hi !
I've heard that one needs to have a work experience of at least 3-4 yrs in security domains.
Also a bachelors degree is necessary.

A bachelors degree is not a requirement. You must have 4 years of direct security related experience or 3 years and a degree.

If you don't have the years of experience, you can still pass the exam and receive an 'associate' credential and 4 years time to get that experience and receive the certification.
