I have done the preliminary preparation and now am looking to focus in more on the exam itself, rather than the CBK.  I came across the CISSP Practice Questions (Exam Cram 2) http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbninquiry.asp?ean=9780789733054&pwb=1&z=y
This book seems perfect, but it dates back to October 2004.  Is this still relevant, or is it too old and a waste of money?  All responses are greatly appreciated.

As for practice exams, ChrisG is on the money. http://www.cccure.org is a great resource. Also, the practice questions at the end of the Official (ISC)2 Guide to the CISSP Exam are made up of actual retired exam questions. So it gives you a good idea as to the type of questions you'll get.

None of the questions you see will be word for word on the exam, like what you see on MS exams. And most of the questions like the ones from Wiley, Shon Harris, and the Official book all have errors in them. Even some of the ones on cccure are wrong. I would suggest when using cccure to track which domains you do worst on. That will give you a good idea on what you need to restudy. Also, doing a high level refresher overview a day or two before the exam is a good idea. The exam quesions themselves aren't that hard, its more of an endurance thing because there are so many questions. It usually takes most people 3 1/2 - 4 hours to finish.

That is a great idea, thanks ChrisG. I am concerned about blowing the 500 bucks as well.  I know the material, but I'm not 100% sure I'm test ready.

This could be the litmus test I need to convince myself that I am making (not making) the right decision to test now.
