Discount code?
«
on:
August 10, 2012, 04:04:40 PM »
Hi all. Is this place still on EH's 'we like' list?
I see we have some info here, but most of it's a few months old now. I used the contact us form on their site to try to get a coupon code, but haven't heard back yet. I was thinking about jumping into it, but would like to save a few bucks with a coupon code.
Thanks

eLearn's courses are definitely still good (not currently frowned upon here, or anything.) Armando and his team are usually pretty punctual, about getting back to folks. Perhaps drop him a PM on here:
http://www.ethicalhacker.net/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,54/action,profile/u,21203/
Good luck!

I've just done the course and was really impressed with it!
The discount code is still advertised on the ethicalhacker.net homepage although you'll need to keep refreshing the page to cycle through the banners.
Anyhow the code shown is: ELS-EH-5

Yeah, I tried that code, it didn't work for for me. Says not valid for this item, but I couldn't find an item it was valid for.

I think the code only works is you sign up to the full course and pay the full amount straight away. It does not work if you want to do the pay as you go course.
I enjoyed the course very much I think its best course I have done so far and would recommended it to anyone.
I also know they are always trying to improve the course and add new stuff.

I believe the banner ads are for the student version of the course; the code may not work for the pro version, if that's what you're trying. You should verify that with Armando before making a decision though.

The code used to work for the Pro version. However as already mentioned you're probably best to wait from an answer from Armando.
http://www.darknet.org.uk/
also shows a banner for the course which takes you to:
http://www.elearnsecurity.com/lp/darknet_BTT.php?utm_campaign=BTT_iframe&utm_source=darknet&utm_medium=banner
Which states "As a Darknet reader, you can get enrolled in the most hands-on penetration testing training course saving $200".

I was trying to do the Pro + Student. I did get a generic email from Armando. I'll sit tight for his reply.
Thanks everybody.

Finally got a reply from Armando this morning.

The Ethical Hacker coupon code expired.
We currently don't have outstanding discount coupon codes.
Let me know if I may help
Not sure what your arrangement is with them, but the ELS-EH-5 code from the banner on this site still works for the student course only, for a discount of $17.45.
It would be nice if it worked for any combination of courses. I haven't figured out if the darknet promo is still going on, but using DARK-ELS-10 (found this code somewhere else) didn't work either. Following the link given earlier took me to a page saying if I wanted to save some money, then fill out the info, but I got the same generic response from Armando I got when I just visited the site directly.
Guess I'll just pay for the whole thing w/out a discount.

I just sent Armando a link to this thread. Sit tight as he is usually good about answering, but he is a busy guy.
Hope it helps get the code reinstated,
Don

Thanks Don,
Like I said, the code that is on this site was still working as of yesterday for the student course only.
Ideally I'd like to find something like a 20% off code that works for the professional course and then add the student for an additional $200 at point of sale. I'm sure the course is worth it at asking price, but when you are unemployed and paying out of pocket, every dollar counts!

Hello everybody.
I apologize for the delay...you caught me in the only week of (half) vacation of my work year
Since this coupon code is generating some confusion, I will just renew it and extend it for all our Student and Professional course bundles with down payment (no subscriptions).
So yes, please go ahead and use ELS-EH-5 to sign up. (Btw, Today's stats: we've got more than 213 students from this community using this coupon code)
Also, remember that you are getting Hera Lab in VPN with OnDemand access - Only this is worth the overall price, believe me.
If you have questions, feel free to post here.
Bye!
