You're probably fine. Keep an older ISO/VM in case you run into a weird problem you might want to check out, but you shouldn't experience any major problems.

It is legit, see the @backtracklinux and @AllardDijk twitter feeds. It took the mirror down delaying the release of the iso apparently.
