Price wise, we have to keep in mind they usually add new stuff to their updated courses, increasing its value. So I guess we have to wait and see...

I am sure it will still be a deal compared to SANS and other courses...

Yea, I had to pay a couple hundred or so to upgrade my PWB materials, so it's relatively negligible. I really need to get going on that, so I don't have to do that a third time though Shocked

Congrats on the pass Kris. I'm probably going to do that in a month or two.

If you're considering CTP/OSCE or CEPT, check out The Shellcoder's Handbook and Hacking: The Art of Exploitation (2nd). Those should give you a good feel for the material and help you decide if it's something you want to pursue.

Also remember that you can take anything (non-electronic) into a SANS/GIAC exam with you. Be sure to make notes on items to research while taking the practice exams. I also find it helpful to bring in a copy of the man page/help output for all the tools referenced.

I'll also echo what everyone else is saying about the OSCP and GPEN being complimentary. There will be overlap, but they go about things differently. Definitely do them both if you can.
