Hello dear EH friends,
This community has given us literally hundreds of students, so please bear with me if I steal some bytes in the database to make an announcement as this might interest many of you.

We have just launched the new, completely revised and improved version of our Penetration testing course Professional.

The new version doubles video training material and adds a huge amount of new more advanced contents.

That's not all. We are also releasing our new VPN Virtual Lab called Hera.

Fully dedicated access for each user, real world routed networks, always new labs every month, extremely detailed Lab manuals and On-demand model.

You can read more about Hera here:
http://www.elearnsecurity.com/course/hera_ptp

You can read more about Professional v2 here:
http://www.elearnsecurity.com/course/penetration_testing/

Dulcis in fundo: A review should be published on EH very soon.

Hope you like it

Armando outdone himself here in a huge way!!!! I had the oportunity to use the previous course because a friend has it so I used it for a little while and then bought the student version because the pro was too difficult for me.

Now that I have the knowledge to try for the pro I bought the new version and was totally blown away. Congratulations Armando now the CEH people should be really scared!!!!!!!!

FYI - Jason Haddix, who did a review of the first version, is currently working on a review of v2 with a comparison to the old version and a look into the labs. Stay tuned.

I singed up to the new version the main reason was I wanted to see what had been added. I can say that I liked the course before it had good content and I think for if your a total newbi to pentesting then this is great course to start off with. The new material just makes this a super course and well worth the investment. I think overall Armando  and his team do excellent job anytime i have trouble they fix things in no time and I know Armando  always working hard to make more improvements and I think in no time this be a well reconised course amoung companies that many will want to take.

I am currently going through v2 now as well.  I like the HERA labs, those certainly would have been useful in v1.  I am working on the System Security and had a few issues with the setups of the Debugging lab, eventually I got it working but had to do a bunch of extra google hunting until I found the solution.

Working through the System security in v2 and I have already noticed a nice bunch of improvements.  More explanations on certain topics as well as the overall layout of the slides.  Since I was almost done with the v1 System Security, most of the stuff is still fresh in my mind so I can see the differences.  I will work back through the material in the other sections as well.  Overall I think it is a decent course, even if the cert itself may not be as recognizable as some of the major industry ones, the content is a good enough reason to take it.  Hopefully the eCPPT will start to get some better visibility.
