We Have a Winner!!

Every year, we seem to have to rush to make arrangements for the winner of the annual Black Hat USA ticket. Not this year. EH-Net has chosen lorddicranius to be the winner this month of the Conference pass for the BlackHat Briefings (Aug 3 - 4) worth at least $2095. This year's event is described as, "The Black Hat Briefings have become the biggest and the most important security conference series in the world by remaining true to our core value: serving the information security community by delivering timely, actionable security information in a friendly, vendor-neutral environment." Or in plain words, it is THE event of the year for security professionals. With smart attendees, numerous sponsored parties, networking events, top training, expert presentations and DefCon starting the very next day, you'll have an unforgettable experience.

The event takes place in its normal location, Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, NV, with training from July 30 - August 2 followed by the Briefings on August 3 - August 4. Congratulations, and we'll see the rest of you in Vegas Baby!!

Participation is the ONLY way to win. Start a thread that sparks lots of interest; share thoughts and experiences; help a newbie... quality is more important than quantity.

Thanks everybody for the congratulations!  It's pretty awesome being recognized among a group of people I find myself usually looking up to.  But it saddens me to say, I won't be able to accept the ticket Sad  I've had a couple personal things come up recently that won't allow me to make it to Las Vegas.  Don has assured me that he's looking for somebody else to accept this great prize though, so keep your eyes pealed!

OK... having a hard time finding someone who can fit this in their family and work schedules. So anyone with over 100 posts and interested in a free ticket, please PM me.

Thanks,

Starting to think that the blackhat tickets are cursed. Problems every year. or at least that's how it seems from my point of view.

This ^

Most recently for me I had a free registration + 500 in travel expenses for Black Hat as part of a recent Rapdi7 purchase but our purchasing guidelines forbid me from taking advantage of it. The year before my wife got sick and the year before that I had a schedule conflict with some contract work i could not pass up. It's always something!

If the flights and hotels weren't that expensive, then I would've gladly gone there  Grin

Definitely another person who was very deserving of it.  Hope you guys have a great time, and fill us all in on anything exceptionally exciting that we miss, this year!
