You need to explain what you've specifically configured. What client OS are you using? Did you enable routing?

I watched a few video on ARP spoofing and wanted to try see it working on my network.

I have tried it with bt4 running in Vm and windows 7 machine and all that happens is the windows machine gets a DOS and does not load any web page. I searched for host added the router and host and then run arp poision.

I have also tried stripping ssl from this video and again all I get it the web page wont load on the windows machine

Have you done either of these:

Windows:
In Registry Editor, locate the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters

Set the following registry value:
Value Name: IPEnableRouter
Value type: REG_DWORD
Value Data: 1
A value of 1 enables TCP/IP forwarding for all network connections that are installed and used by this computer.

Linux:
http://www.ducea.com/2006/08/01/how-to-enable-ip-forwarding-in-linux/

You're not going to run anything through your system if you don't, and you'll end up with a DoS condition.

I did that when trying the ssl striping using echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward and still got a DOS. I didn't do it when using cain as I didn't know I had to.
