It'll never hurt to brush up on your writing / documentation skills.  One of the nice things with eLearn and OSCP is that they BOTH stress the importance of a well-written / presented report.  So yes, there's value there.

One thing you might do, if you want to show value, is map out your desired and currently-planned learning, to show you've thought out what to learn and how.  Even if it doesn't apply to the new gig, it might, at minimum, show them that you're serious about what you want, and can set direction for yourself to grow in your areas of expertise.  I know that my current employer looks at our own individual direction and advancement plans very closely, to see that we are motivated, and pursuing growth.

I do want do OSCP as I think even if I don't pass first time I will gain a lot from it. It just the money its like £600 pounds and working part time I just don't have that sort money at the moment.

This why I need a job so badly not only to pay for training but also give me some guidance. As I learn most things off my own back I am not sure if I am doing things right. and I need a new challenge that I can get right stuck into.
