New Books! Cyber Warfare and Basics of Information Security out in June
«
on:
April 13, 2011, 12:26:24 PM »
Been slaving away and have a couple new books coming out in June:
Cyber Warfare: Techniques, Tactics and Tools for Security Practitioners
http://www.syngress.com/hacking-and-penetration-testing/Cyber-Warfare/
and
The Basics of Information Security: Understanding the Fundamentals of InfoSec in Theory and Practice
http://www.syngress.com/information-security-and-system-administrators/The-Basics-of-Information-Security/
Both are (finally) up for pre-order on Syngress.com and Amazon.com.
Also, Ryan (Apollo) and I are working on another super-secret book right now, and it should be out just in time to show up at DerbyCon

Geez, how are you able to write books faster than I can read them?
Cyber Warfare added to wishlist...

Jason, I teach a Dept. of Homeland Security course called 'Cyber Terorrism' at a community college, and have just ordered an exam copy to see if this book would make a good text for the class. What are your thoughts? Could it be adapted pretty easily to classroom discussions and assignments?
P.S.: I'm hoping Syngress will make powerpoints available if so.

You just have to have no life at all
I'm taking a bit of a break after this next one is done. Hope you all enjoy them.
RawgDawg, I think it could definitely be used in a classroom. Send me a PM and we can talk a bit about it.
