Just wondering if I can take this exam, I've read mixed things and I know some certs modify their pre reqs if you graduated from a 4 year school. I've been employed for 1 yr 8months and graduated from a 4 year college with 2 IT related degrees.

Also, how much is the training course through EC-Council and does it include the exam? I can't seem to find this on the website even after I select the location.

I do not know about the costs but for your first question.
http://www.eccouncil.org/certification/exam_information/take_exam.aspx

Short. If you do not attend classes you will need to fill in the following form to be allowed to take your exam.
http://www.eccouncil.org/home/exam_eligibility_form.aspx
Aside form that.

Is there any eligibility criteria?
It is mandatory for you to record two years of information security related work experience and get the same endorsed by your employer. In case you do not possess the same you can send us a request detailing your educational background and request for consideration on a case basis.
But I suggest you read the link I provided. I might have missed one or two things.

EC-Council offers various self study options, you can order the materials and self study, or you can use their iClass online training, or of course you can take a training course through one of their ATC's. (traditional training vendors, Global Knowledge, Training Camp, Intense School, ect.)

Upside is that taking a course (including their iClass) waves the experience requirement, as long as they are an ATC.

@IHnewb: Go to http://www.eccouncil.org/certification/exam_information/ceh_exam_312-50.aspx

You will find there a list of all the CEH exam objectives. If you feel confortable with the materials, just go for it! If not, this will tell you what to focus on.

Good luck!
