I am sure it has been talked about before, but yesterday is when Amazon started offering a free usage tier for AWS.

It comes in pretty handy for tons of different reasons.  I will say that if you are doing port scans and other 'questionable' activity they will actually send you an email to a form, you fill it out and say you are doing security work and they will unleash the box for you.  Pretty simple and VERY handy.
