New victum here.

Just some thoughts suggestions on registration.

The password box is very annoying. it required 8 characters AND requires the excruciatingly annoying single upper case letter (very very annoying) but whats truly annoying is it NEVER tells you this until you do not do it.

IE it should say right up front 8 characters 1 upper case 1 number minimum

I put in a password rejected not 8 characters.
I put in another password 8 characters rejected no upper case
third try I finally got it :-)

Not a big deal but it is annoying :-) if you mistype a password it should ALSO say 8 character 1 upper 1 number to remind the user its that weird password requirement since many times I put in the right password forgetting one letter needed to be upper case :-)

Another small issue.

your captcha does not appear to change. all three times is was a visually different image but the exact same letters. not sure if you were aware of that.

If you're going to get into security, you might as well learn now; Security (the 8 mix character requirement) is not easy. If it was, everybody would be doing it and we would be out of a job.

Its not the fixing that's the hard part, its knowing what needs fixing.

I would agree with the suggestion of noting the password requirements. I can't tell you how many times I have locked out a website PW because I didn't remember which ones had password strength requirements.

If you're having trouble with meeting the password requirements, using a pass phrase instead might help.

Grab a line from a poem, song, or movie....

Example:

"In the dead vast and middle of the night."
- William Shakespeare, Hamlet 1.2

or, if you're a lit geek like me...

Example 2:

"A long long time ago, in a galaxy far far away"
