Sometime soon when things wind down for me a bit I'm supposed to speak at an Infragard/ISSA chapter. There were a lot of rumors circulating about Infragard (
http://cryptome.org/0001/fbi010810.htm and
http://blogs.villagevoice.com/runninscared/archives/2008/02/hunter_students.php) which make me a bit hesitant to join considering "they don't get it" at the end of the day. LEO groups are very shortsighted and can horribly misconstrue something so me personally, I wouldn't join the group.
I know many members and speak with them from time to time when they want an outside view of things that they can't grasp. Some are a very scary bunch where one can't even joke with them out of fear of them wanting to be "the next big e-Cybercop. Because I post from time to time on Shadowserve and other groups I follow and am on, I see the cool ones but I also see the horrible "dipshits"
Eventually I will get around to speaking about VoIP and toll fraud at one of these conferences. I just like to keep to myself though to be honest (imagine that). When slash if I do, for those in the northeast, I will make it known in case anyone wants to hang out. (Provided they are not living in Louisiana, anyone except the Bayouers!).
