Wireshark Network Analysis - new book
«

For those who have been discussing books, the past few days, here's another good one for your collections. As most of you well know, Wireshark knowledge is invaluable when you're evaluating / testing a network, so the more tricks and tools you have in your arsenal for it, the better. I've personally found her training to be excellent, and have enjoyed a few good conversations with her, both relating to Wireshark, and just general life.
When you combine Laura's book with Fyodor's (the guy responsible for NMAP and his book - Nmap Network Scanning: The Official Nmap Project Guide to Network Discovery and Security Scanning ) the two really help you to see what's going on, on your network

Thanks. I've added it to my wishlist.
Have you read through it? Thoughts / Review / strong points vs weak points?

Only exerpts... sorry.
I am awaiting my full copy. But what I can tell you, based on previous experiences with Laura (I've sat through her presentations, and I have a copy of her LCML - Laura Chappell Master Library series of videos, trace files, presentations and papers,) she's definitely a great teacher, and knows her Wireshark. Her other materials were well organized and FULL of good stuff, so I have no doubt this one will not disappoint, either.

Smaller audience than other computer books. Computer books are overly expensive to start with, but I'm finding when you start specializing into smaller categories, it grows exponentially.
