I had my CEH V6 exam today and passed. Smiley

For preparation I not only took the official iClass course, but also the following resources:

  • The CEH Prep Guide: The Comprehensive Guide to Certified Ethical Hacking
  • Certified Ethical Hacker Exam Prep
  • CEH: Official Certified Ethical Hacker Review Guide: Exam 312-50, Review
  • Flashcards by samsclass.

A homelab would help as well, if you haven't have one already.

Afterwards I think that I may have studied way too much if it was only for passing the exam. However, as it was more important for me to learn some new things, which I did, I don't see this as a waste of time or efforts.

Thanks again, Don, for the great opportunity you gave me with the CEH iClass giveaway - it certainly was much appreciated. Smiley

congrats, awesec!  Glad you got through it (I knew you would) and that you learned plenty more along the way.  That's the beauty of the security field, is that there's so much more to learn, around each corner, and it's just a matter of making the time to learn it.

Great job, and again, congrats!

congratulations! good to see that the giveaways actually lead to something!

remember that the path taken to the actual goal is atleast as interesting as the goal itself!

once you have CEH, ECSA is a very sweet deal! sort of like a 2 for the price of 1 thing! i was told you get a more in depth knowledge of tools like snort so you can interpreted the reports it generates and translate those to workable documents for example management and incident response teams. its like being on the other side of the line when hackers have come along.

I didn't use any dumps, nor I like them - so no, I can't help you with this.
In my first post I listed what I have used, so you might look at those materials first..

Hi all i know its late to reply on this topic
well first of all Congratulation awesec
As awesec mantioned about preperation materials, these are good one One more thig i want to add is Training. It is not mandatory for CEH but it is recomended for hands on. Why i can say this as we are involved in providing training on CEH and we find the students reviews whitout attending training they can pass the exam by reading dumps but will not get the real advantage of CEH( hands on). rest on you how you prepare your self as Ethical hacker
