Hi,

Can someone please confirm how many points I need to get per year to maintain my CEH?

I recently hit the 120 points mark after 1 year of certification, and the ECE page says: "Congratulations! You have successfully met the minimum requirements of 120 credits to maintain EC-Council certifications."

I guess im not allowed to sit back and do nothing though :p? Will the ECE system let me know when I need to add x number more points per year? I did the exam in 2008, so I should think it expires in 2011 and i have the 120 points to continue that for another 3 years after that, so my second question, is there a payment for certification renewal or is points good enough for them?

Thanks alot

Sounds like you've got it. Certified in 2008, expires in 2011. Since you've already hit 120, when your expiration date comes up in 2011, you'll have another 3 years to earn another 120 credits (2014). The payment/fee has been removed and is no longer required - just credits.

There is a minimum of 20 credits/year that you must earn. This will be enforced starting January 1, 2010.

Thanks for the above info guys.

On another note, is there an official reason why the EC-Council have scrapped Podcasts as a method of gaining points?  Angry

They are not scrapped. If you read the information below the table, it includes Podcasts and Webinars in the Education area, which counts for 1 credit/hour.
