Offensive Security launches its own exploit database.

The nice guys at Offensive Security have made yet another useful contribution to the community. This time it's The Exploit Database.

The ultimate archive of exploits and vulnerable software and a great resource for vulnerability researchers and security addicts alike. Our aim is to collect exploits from submittals and various mailing lists and concentrate them in one, easy to navigate database. When possible, we've added the vulnerable software for download.

The addition of the vulnerable software for download is what separates this project from the others, in my opinion. Great link, thanks for the post!

Agreed, the link to software is a really nice touch, hosted too! I hope people submit the apps for those that are missing so they can host them too.

Yes it's certainly good to see a database back up. Though I believe Milw0rm will remain dead. The OffSec gang are taking over and continuing where Milw0rm left off. That's my understanding, could be wrong though.

I think offsec guys and milw0rm are internetwork in some way training for OSCP used milw0rm p0cs. offesec guys as well as remote-exploit community salute to them woot woot

milw0rm is excellent, no doubt. I believe, however, that "The Exploit Database" will be an eventual winner. The team at Offsec has more resources in comparison to milw0rm which is entirely shouldered by str0ke.

I second that, though I would appreciate it if milw0rm will become what it was some time ago - however, having several trusted sources for exploits is good anyway.
