So as alot of the members here have there CISSP's I wanted to know what you do to get your CPE requirements?

I currently go to and speak at Security Cons but I wanted to know what others do. Also do you feel watching Videos of recent Security Cons would count for CPE's and if not what if the Con is running the talks via streaming media would it count then as attending.

Let me know what you guys/gals think.

The majority of my CPEs has come from studying for other certifications.  I all ready made all my CPEs for my recertification in a year, but they have the silly requirement of a minimum of 20 credits a year.  My CPEs have mainly come from studying for other certifications, CEH, GCIH, and now GCIA.  Unfortunately, my GCIA training is in December, so it does not count next year, but any reading or other prep I do will count.  I also attend local security groups (ISSA and IfraGard), listen to the odd podcast here and there, and attend conferences.  I am also lucky, my mentor at work hosts a lunch and learn security forum twice a week.

You can also pick-up a few easy CPEs by subscribing to magazines like Information Week, or reading the ISC2 magazine and taking their test.. (or something like that).

There are also quite a number of blogs with CPE lists out there, like this one: http://acpeaday.blogspot.com/

don't forget about ISC2 monthly webcasts which qualifies for 3 CPEs, that's 36 CPE per year for which you pay anyway during yearly certification fee.
And as others already mentioned, there are many other ways of earning CPEs, like infosecurity magazine websites.
