Difference Prometric and VUE?

As I am attending soon a CEH class, I wanted to ask if there is a difference between Prometric and VUE for the exam at the end? It seems I can choose between both, though haven't found out if there are big differences. Is one to prefer over the other?

I've used both, although not for the same test, but I think there's no difference, since (as I was told by one guy from VUE), they're only delivering the test and not creating it, they receive the material directly from the other companies (EC-Council, CompTIA...)

Same goes for me. I've used both, I couldn't tell the difference. The test is the same.

If you have a choice between Prometric and VUE in your area I would make sure to check out the physical facility before you decide. While the companies are relatively the same, there is no difference in the test, BUT there may be a difference in the test room/neighborhood/general environment you will be taking the test.

A few years back (back for my Windows NT 4.0 Workstation MCP) I went to a testing facility that was located in a double wide trailer, which also doubled as a flight school.

Excellent point, unsuppored. I only had one option back when I took CEH version 4. If one seems more relaxing to take than the other then go for it.

Haven't considered this point, thanks for pointing it out. Will take a look at both facilities and decide then which one I will use.

It was funny when i went and got the cert in August last year app i was the only person who had finished the course and sat the exam, none of the organisers at Prometric even knew how the exam software worked.

I had to wait about 6 months to sit the exam while they ordered the software in noone even returned my phone calls and let me know what was happening.
After months of pestering them i finally got to sit my exam.

I would also like to add to my post, spent the whole time watching videos on a pc and my instructor didnt even know what backtrack was.

so i had to go off career academy videos and rwad through 4000 pages of course material sigh.
