Due to multiple requests, we now have a LinkedIn Group for The Ethical Hacker Network. The LinkedIn logo at the top of the left-hand column has now officially been switched from ChicagoCon's Group to the new EH-Net Group.

As the description of our new group states:

Quote

This is a group dedicated to those who read and participate on The Ethical Hacker Network, the free online magazine for security professionals. This is where we can get a little more formal in our networking efforts.

Our hope is that this site will still remain THE place for questions, conversations, introductions and more. And we'll use LinkedIn for more formal networking opportunities for all of us. We'd hate to see the progress we've made in our own forums be transferred over to LinkedIn's Discussion Board.

Let me know what you think,
Don

Jason, I noticed your LinkedIn post regarding the TrueCrypt boot volume encryption bypass tool, Stoned Bootkit.   It looks like there is a new version in development and I have send my request to join the beta program to Peter.   Have you had a chance to play with the bootkit?

The concept has incredible implications in forensics industry.   We struggle with full disc encryption products, really undermining forensic processes.   It would be great to be able to use the tool to bypass encryption.  I can't wait to test it.

I hadn't heard about the new version. Definitely let me know if you get your hands on it. I'm really curious to see if TrueCrypt ever ends up doing anything about it. I can certainly see their point in saying that it's not their issue. Still, if a person really wanted to be sneaky about it,they could just do a hidden OS. Any potential investigator would likely not even know that it was there.

Alright, I'll jump on the bandwagon.  Tongue  Since I've been on this forum longer than I've been on LinkedIn, it is natural I guess. Wink
