Hello and welcome to EH-Net.

First I would recommend to search through the forums as this question was not asked the first time and you probably will find some answers already given (most useful threads you will find in this section).

I am currently preparing myself for the CEH, so I can share with you the books which where recommended to me and which I am using for learning as well:

Official Review Guide:
http://www.amazon.com/CEH-Official-Certified-Ethical-Hacker/dp/0782144373

Exam Prep:
http://www.amazon.com/Certified-Ethical-Hacker-Exam-Publishing/dp/0789735318

Prep Guide:
http://www.amazon.com/CEH-Prep-Guide-Comprehensive-Certified/dp/0470135921

Topics which will be covered can be seen on the outline from EC-Council's official website. For those topics in which you are not very familiar I would recommend some other books which are focusing on those. If you have any more specific questions please feel free to ask.

Good luck for your studies.

My advice read up and learn and get as much hands on experience as you can. The recommended study guide is not detailed enough to successfully complete this cert with little or no prior knowledge of ethical hacking and defensive countermeasures.

When i went for this exam i got myself absorbed as much as possible in Internet material, the BT distro and Hackin9 magazines. The more sources you research and the more practical application you are exposed to the more you will comprehend
