Hello Everyone,

I've been in networking now for the past 7 years, with the past year and a half dedicated to network security. My main goal is to get into a cyber security position, preferably witht the government. I currently have Cisco, CheckPoint, and Security+ certifications. In your opinion what else would give me an edge towards a position like this? With all the talk about cyber security with the Obama administration, I'd like to be prepared if his Cybersecurity department ever comes together.

I would recommend the same as BillV.

As you mentioned Obama you a probably in the USA, however, if you don't care to work in another country, like UK, take also a look at CHECK. This is in UK required in order to test goverment stuff. Don't know how much it is known in US though.
