Hey, the BackTrack 4 Pre Final – Public Release and Download is available

Quote
The Remote Exploit Team is ecstatic to announce the public release of BackTrack 4 Pre Final (codename “pwnsauce“). A VMWare Image of BT4 will be released in a few days.  We have major changes in BackTrack, and have tried to document and summarize them as best as possible. See the BackTrack Guide PDF for more info.

see http://www.offensive-security.com/blog/backtrack/backtrack-pre-final-public-release-and-download/ for more info and http://www.offensive-security.com/backtrack4-guide-tutorial.pdf for the 'BackTrack 4 – The Definitive Guide'

Ha!   I just installed the earlier version on an SD Card in my Netbook a week or so ago.   I've been using the VmWare image for a while now.  I am loving the package manager.  I really don't have many complaints.   I also find BT4 to be very very stable.

I like what I see so far.  Installed to disk last night to dual boot with XP, very simple installer.  Very friendly to people who are inexperienced with *NIX.

I installed it in VMWare without problems, runs fine so far. Hopefully it won't take too long for the final. Smiley

Wow, the mirrors appear to be pretty swamped.  I guess the response is good Smiley
