Passed CEH
«
on:

Just thought I would drop a note to say I just pass the CEH exam with 92%
Like others before I read loads of books, from official guilds to Kevin Mitnick’s books on social engineering and the Hacking Exposed books.
I then bought the Preplogic test exams and found them really poor. There were major mistakes on the questions and they were also very ambiguous.
After another recent post to this site I also got the Pass4Sure questions as well and found them to be much better. So I would definitely not bother with Preplogic again.

Hi BillV-
No, I do want to take the exam, but will CEH V5 expire in a month?I might as well wait till CEH V6 is avaible that way I dont have to fail learning any new material that needs to be covered. To me I look at these exams like a Doctor, every year there's always a new exploits that every Professional Security needs know ,and be aware of.So BillV I enjoy taking exams, but also learning new things.

Ok, I understand, but the v6 exam is available now. You don't need to wait for the v5 exam to expire

Thanks for the support guys,
I am now woundering where to go next with my qualifications.
I would like to go for the CISSP, but I don't know much about the exam itself, I also don't work with anyone who could endorse me.
Also as Penetration Testing is where I want to be I don't know if it is realy a useful cert to have.
Does anyone have any views on this exam?

The short answer is...
Cert Info:
http://www.cccure.org
Join an ISSA chapter and meet some people (or network with people you already know). You'll find someone to endorse you.
It won't help you technically for penetration testing, but it will certainly be something that is recognized by clients.

@ cyberbreeze:
CISSP always helps! It seems to be the certification in Security now a days...
From time to time, I see customers completely refuse to read a CV if the work CISSP is not in there
As BillV said, joining an ISSA chapter is a great resource.
Meeting the right people will increase your sec skillz!

HI Everybody ,
It has been a long time that i am studying for that exam .
I was really surprised when i wanted to register at the exam that i will need a voucher to pass the test ( self student) so i called EC and they told me to register and send that by mail / fax and it will take 8 WEEKS to get a voucher number !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is there a way to speed that up
Regards,
Ygal
